It's just chamber pressure. They make it sound like a new 15lb gun is going to lob a tank round or something.
I foresee them doing the same tired trial and error process that looks something like:
Lets do caseless ammo!
Failed.
Lets try 6.8/6.5 Grendel!
But muh supply chain/cost of new ammunition/million different conflicting opinions on maintenance cycles
Hey..lets try 6.5CM!
But muh supply chain/that round is too big and heavy
Well...lets at least improve the platform!
But muh supply chain/muh manufacturer kickbacks/new parts are expensive/we'd need to spend 40 million in just testing
I guess we'll stick with the 249 and 5.56 for now. But we'll research this and get something better soon!

Same clueless idiot we discussed a couple months ago. Her reporting is as accurate as the SAW, and both need to be replaced. Her chamber pressure analogy is as accurate as saying a 6.4L Powerstroke with it's 17:1 compression ratio is like a turbo V16 diesel locomotive with roughly the same compression, and therefore F-350 = locomotive.
