Rifle Scopes Ideas for a 22-250 scope in the $750 range?

I know this stuff gets beat to hell but I thought it would be easier to ask than read on for days.

I'd like some ideas on a scope for a 22-250 shooting 100-300 yards at varmints. My budget is around $750...unless I'm talked into another direction, plus or minus.

I just put a Sightron SIII 6-24 with mil knobs on mine. I have around $710 in it including shipping.

weaver v16 is a great scope. Nikon monarch or buckmaster would do you well. I prefer the fine hair and dot reticle for chuks

SO you can back off the mag on a high mirage day and still hold for wind, or elevation, without any math.

SWFA 3-9x42 would be something I'd look into for a varmint hunter optic.

And you'd want an FFP on a varmint scope or the same reason you'd want an FFP in any scope, so a mil in the retical is a mil no matter what your magnification is. So you can range at any power.

Your varmints over there must sit nice and still for you, i set up shop,range a few features in the paddock and shoot.
Cant imagine trying to range on a rabbits head at 400y with a mil dot.

He didn't say ranging, he said hold-overs.
