Identification of German Rifle

I have found some information on this gun. It was made by a company Barthelmes, Emil in Zella pre-1939. I believe it is a hunting rifle vs military rifle. Does anyone know any more information such as caliber? I have more pictures if that helps

Stalking rifle from the suhl area of Germany. See the article above for deciding caliber, etc.

Not huge value as the external condition if somewhat rough looking from your photos. A lot of these came back to USA with GI’s post WW2.

If you are interested in selling it, I have a number of rook rifles and stalking rifles and if the bore is good, I’d be interested.

You can get rifles like this restored and relined barrel is bad. Expensive, but the results are stunning!
