So how do they get those teeny tiny little bitty lines in there to light up so crisp and clear?

Whats the technology and construction behind illuminated reticles?

The glass blanks are etched with a chemical process using a mask. After they are etched they are filled with a Titanium Dioxide paste so they will light up with an LED.

There's a little gremlin inside the scope that points a light at the reticule.
