I see now that there are multiple firing pin sizes for the 737: 0.60 and 0.68

If the plan is to use 308 Bolt Face or Smaller what is the proper firing pin size to get or what is the practical difference between the two?

What if you are just shooting factory ammo and it can be either large or small?

Is it okay if I use it for LRP? say for 308/6.5 Manbun barrel?

Nominally going to be a dasher or similar, but you know--barrels.

You can use a small firing pin to strike large, or large magnum primers. No issue.

Its possible to use a large firing pin on small primers, however is NOT reccomended as you can get punched or pierced primers, which cause uncontrolled gas blow back.

Technically both of those pin diameters would considered “small”. Large pins are .080”-ish. More importantly in this case, its an impact which would have a good fit between pin and the pin bore, so you’ll have no issues. There no wrong answer between .060 and .068 imo.

Large are "generally" 0.078", but ive seen variation.

For the normal people with 23 pairs of chromosomes, its 1.5mm for small, and 2mm for large.
