Impact 737R Mag Bolt / 6.5PRC / AW Mags

It can kinda feed. At least when it does, its real smooth. Problem is when I load the 6.5PRC in AW mags, it looks good and fit nicely, however the cartridge will pop out of the lips and you'll end up with double feed. A cartridge pops out when inserting and locking mag in place, then when you eject a case the next cartridge will pop out. If you try to feed, it'll try and feed the loose cartridge and the next one still held in place by the feed lips. Perhaps if the lips were modified to be closer/tighter it may work.

With a AW cut, if you use AICS pattern mags, there's a chance that the bolt will bind against the rear feed lips on the mag, but thats if you're pushing up on the rear of the mag.

So far AICS style (wo binder) work best with the 6.5 PRC (some feed lip mods will help smoother feeding, open up feed lips a bit in the front)

I tested this with a Terminus Zeus with AW mag cut

So best just to use AICS mags? I'd like to have reliable feeding, obviously. I only have the 737R mag action so far. Was leaning towards wanting to set it up for Berger 156EOL's but it almost seems like that bullet might be too much for the short action and the magazine length. Leaning towards the Hybrid 140's or if I can get them by Spring the Hybrid 144's.

Just want to fill the gap between my AXMC in 300 Norma and my AIAT in 308. BTW, I'm in Canada so everything is a pain in the ass as far as sourcing parts & components (except Lapua). It's my first ground up build so I'm struggling with finding exact details. Except here, thanks!

Also aw mags are finicky enough in 2 lug actions with .473 case head cartridges. Throw prc in aw mag at a 2 lug, yikes. My deadline is a 3 lug a d is fairly similar to an ai action, and it wouldn't work.
