Has anybody used this book? Do you find it useful/worth it? Or would you recommend just buying specific pages and add them to the standard book? I already own an impact modular book and looked through their website but didn't quite feel like I got a grasp of what's in it an how its setup.

Re: Impact Reloading Data Book?

I think impact data books are very good, my wife and i both use them, for us the premade takes care of what we need and how we shoot. For the specific pages you can get just depends on what your shooting needs are. If you have not done this yet go to there website www.impactdatabooks.com and scroll down until you see REFERENCE INFO in the column on the left, you will find some very good information on the books, also will explain what you need for what type of shooting you do, under instructions there is a video you may what to watch.

Re: Impact Reloading Data Book?

I find my IDB data book extremely useful. The reloading book looks like it would be useful for organizing info if....

you have a chronograph.

If I was able to measure the speed, SD, etc. of my rounds I'd get one.

Right now I cant take advantage of its usefulness.

So for now I use a spiral notebook and track what I can - bullet type/weight. powder charge, COAL etc. The shot plots in my IDB data book tell me if a round works or not.

Re: Impact Reloading Data Book?

I just recieved mine and i like the setup very much. It has some very usefull info in the opening pages:
primer x reference
types of powders (flake ball etc)descriptions
burn charts
powder list
shell holder charts both pistol and rifle
trim charts rifle & pistol
bullet acronym list
barrel twist ref. chart
caliber twist chart
caliber bushing range chart
BC charts in g1&g7 (user filled)

The load development sheets are great, way better than my notebook setup (i always forget something)

Ill be sitting down tonight to do a little write up as i havent really found a "review" on the book.

I can say its def. worth the cost for me.

Re: Impact Reloading Data Book?

Our reloading data book was designed to help shooters organize their loading benches while being able to reproduce quality and accurate ammunition. Most shooters are serious about obtaining a great load for their rifle and becoming better shooters in general. Others continue to fake their way thru it always chasing their tail, never reaching the next level.

I hear a lot of shooters saying I do this or I don’t do that or I scribble some notes here or there. As a reloader you have spent a lot of time developing loads to gain the most accuracy possible. When you scribble a few notes down and hope to be able to find that info later to reproduce that load you usually didn’t write down all the info you wanted and needed at that time. Even worse you may have discarded the other data from your testing and you now find yourself scratching your head to what was that other loads info?

If you are taking the time to take notes then why wouldn’t you organize those notes in a way that you can easily recall the data and information quickly and easily in a systematic way? That’s why data books for shooting are important.

Impact Data Books has done all the hard work. We have developed a reloading data book that offers you access to important reference information such as: primer reference, powders descriptions, burn rate charts, powder type lists, shell holder charts, trim length charts, bullet acronym list, barrel twist reference chart, caliber twist charts, caliber bushing range charts and much more.

You reloading book will include plenty of the following page types:

LD-LT

I-CUS

These pages will allow you to develop your loads and record all the info at your bench, take the book to the range and record your chronograph and accuracy results right on the load pages for you to review and analysis your ammunition.

That why Impact Data Books and our products will make an Impact in your shooting.
