I'm in the market for a new spotter, and would like a reticle. Through Leupolds MIL/LE program, all the MK4's are currently OOS with unknown ETA to my knowledge.
However, the Gold Ring with IMPACT reticle is available. The reticle is unfortunately MOA, however has Mil Dots along the border of the MOA grid. While not optimal, I'm thinking it may be enough for shot calling/correction - which wouldn't be all the time anyway. I don't plan on using it for range estimation.
Has anyone used this reticle/spotter? Does it seem practical for this purpose? Or should I just wait for a MK4 with TMR to become available?
I also like the idea of getting slightly (arguably) better glass with the Gold Ring too...
