Gunsmithing improved shoulder and magazines

Hi all
a question for the gunsmiths out there,
if you use an improved shoulder on the big stuff 50bmg to 338 range, would the improved case run through the mag?
if not what sort of mods needed?
whats your experience please.
and if anyone has a link to more imp/ackley stuff pass it on cheers

I think I remember JerryR running a 338LM AI through AI mags. He said it fed well.
