Any good for the heavier bullets in .223 such as the 69gr and 77gr pills?

So far I've had great luck with Varget, TAC and IMR 8208 XBR.

Just curious since it does so well in my .308

I think it'll be hard to get enough in the case to really move those bullets... Varget is shorter cut, so you can get more into the case (but it's still pretty heavily compressed in most .223 loads)...

This isn't to say that you can't find a good load with 4064 if that's all you have to use, but you'll be hitting a lower accuracy node (lower velocity) for that burn range.

I love it in 308 but I haven't had luck in 556 unless I had a compressed load. I'm not a fan of compressed loads. Ended up switching to Varget with success but ran out and can't find anymore.

x3. 4064 works great in 308 but a little chunky for 223 in my opinion. The powders you listed are better options.

Thanks for the feedback guys. The 4064 will be relegated to the 308 only then.

I've got plenty of Varget and 8208XBR for the heavier .223 pills.
