IMR 4350 for 300norma mag?

I was given an 8lb can of IMR 4350 and not sure what to do with it. From the research I've done, it's primarily a 30-06 powder and can be repurposed for 6.5cm.

I recently started reloading for 300nm but can't seem to find retumbo or h1000. IMR 4350 is a faster burning powder than both of those but I was wondering if anyone had any luck making up a load or even attempted trying?

That seems like an awfully fast powder relative to such a large case.

what bullet weight are you looking to use?

I would stay clear. Too fast. I know it’s hard to find but Retumbo is your best bet.

I’m shooting berger 215s. I thought it might be too fast but figured it was worth asking.

Well, if you really had to use 4350 in a .300NM, you could safely shoot 110gr bullets at 3900 fps.

IMR-4350 works great in 243 Winchester or 7MM-08, but with a 215 gr in 300 Win Mag RL-22 or slower should fill the bill .
