Join contest SubscribeVery very true - we worked hard to get a very good elected sheriff and we worked hard - though he worked circles around us to get my cousin elected state rep. First thing he did was bring bills and lawsuits to stop the state from funding , incentivizing and forcing solar/ wind .Yet another example of local politics being infiltrated by people who got pushed down in the playground, didn’t get their way at your birthday party, and never got mommas tit out of their fucking mouths.
Local politics is where it’s at gang, if you want shit going your way get involved.
I read the story, I don't think the whole truth is being told, but you can figure it out reading between the lines. The guy is also involved in equipment auctions. The "field" he parked the equipment in is an 11 acre parcel, which he admits is miles from his core business, and along a highway. He put gravel down?? This isn't a farmer parking tractors on the edge of a field, its an equipment auction biz parking tractors along a highway for advertising is my read. And zoning doesn't like it because it looks like a commercial dealer on land that's zoned something else.
That said, the gov should fuck off and leave him alone. There isn't much I can stand less than zoning departments, they are FULL of busybody liberals who love telling people what to do.
How many farms have you been around? The brothers that farm around me(5K acres) have many fields that are miles and miles from his main equipment barn/“business” location. Hard to run that many acres and not stretch far from the listed business address.I read the story, I don't think the whole truth is being told, but you can figure it out reading between the lines. Lucky for most people, “your read” isn’t the end state. Matter of fact, interpretation on this is probably coming from someone with a potential investment opportunity or return on taking this land over.is my read
Or just drunk with power. Respect muh authority!! Cuz they will use the taxpayers money to sue you. While you have to use your own money and time to defend the bullshit. How many farms have you been around? I did see that. And that very well may put the guy completely in the right. Though I’m not sure I buy that a zoning board (again, I hate them) would consider an implement dealer a farm.According to the codes (which he sent to the county) the selling of equipment is covered and allowed. Also there's no mention of any For Sale signs.
Easy killer. All I was saying is, the dude, (who is an implement dealer), graveled a lot on an 11 acre parcel and parked machinery on a highway. And zoning doesn’t like it. (Again, I hate them.) But that’s not the same scenario as a zoning board picking on a farmer for having tractors parked in a field. That’s all I was saying, that there might be some important context to the story buried in those details. How many farms have you been around? They have an argument and are trying to set a precedent, which is why that munigov ought to be crushed by every farmer in the county coming together with pitchforks and torches in hand.Easy killer.
