Inclination + range angle vs corrected range

A friend of mine had that exact model. The angle compensation on his was definitely defective from the start. We ended up proofing it against gravity with a plumbbob and a protractor to convince ourselves it was actually wrong.

The greater the angle, the greater the error it had. It was still accurate when it was level though. He sent it back, and the replacement was good to go.

Hmmm, might need to send mine in. Gotta price it first.
