So I'm thinking of upgrading my binoculars, I currently have a set of Hensoldt 8X30 individual focus binos. I really like them , never liked the center focus, however they are a dated bino and lens coatings have come along way since these were new. What is a good option to look at? I know Steiner makes a few but is there a "better" one out there?

I have Steiner 8x30 MIL R that I bought for work. I love them for their size, speed and they are plenty clear. They hold really well allowing me to get a stable image. They pack nicely in a WWII M17 bino case.

Reality though is that I dont need to use them too much for work. More often than not Im on vacation at the beach looking at things and with no need for speed this is when I wish I had a center focus. When you find something you want to observe sometimes the focus is not as crisp as it should be.

Could be just my eyes though. I wear glasses for distance but dont wear glasses when using optics. I set the diopters naked so I dont see why there would be an issue.

I dont know if you will get better than what your Hensoldt currently provide. If you are happy with them buy more ammo instead.
