that kids ruined! he may aswell hang it up, cuz now hes gonna expect that all the time! haha! nice buck though, most hunters try a lifetime to get a buck in the 200 class. that thing is a monster!

NICE DEER! At 13 though the rest of his hunting career is all downhill... I have spent years looking for a buck that big. Props to that lil guy!

In Indiana that has to be a H & R shotgun. Probably a 12 ga. We can hunt coyotes w/ any centerfire rifle but deer have to taken w/ slug, pistol over .44 caliber I think or B/Powder.

I look at that picture and wonder how that 13yo kid is holding that deers head up with 1 arm? To me that kid doesnt look like he would be "strong" enough to do so. And looks as though he shot it in the neck right under the ear.

zoom in on the kids right hand and you will see he is not holding it up but resting his hand on it! Maybe they froze the deer in that position and then pulled him back out to the woods or?????????????
Big f'ing deer no matter what! I'll be chasing one at sunrise saturday if all goes well.

Look up the regs, you'll be surprised. It is probably a .357Mag or .44Mag. Indiana has a minimum .358 bullet size, with a min and max cartridge length. If you want to see the leniency this gives you run a search on "358 BFG".
