Inletting McMIllan A4 ADL for BDL

Re: Inletting McMIllan A4 ADL for BDL

7mm,
Pardon my ignorance, is the pillaring/bedding required to give high accuracy?
How much accuracy would you lose without any bedding/pillaring, just by dropping the barreled action into the stock?

Thank you!

Over time the fiberglass can compress, leaving you with uneven torque on the action screws. Pillars are used to eliminate stock compression. Uneven action screw torque will adversly affect accuracy.

Bedding ensures that you have a perfect, stress free fit between your stock and action. A stressed action fit will adversly affect accuracy.
