I am completely new to tripods but would like to try one. I have been looking at the innorel ones on Amazon and I believe the as80c is the one I would like. I think a newer version of the rt80c. I don’t really want to spend that much on a head, but most of what I see says to get a better one than the cheap ones. If that is the case, what does it take to get this tripod to accept the anvil head? Or are there other cheaper options that are close to as good? I did read in some threads about this but I think I need it simplified!

That's my exact set up for now. I literally just screwed the anvil onto the tripod. No adapter needed.
I've not shot off of it much, but for spotting and glassing, it's been great so far. I love the Anvil, it's money well spent
