I decided to load up some components I had lying around collecting dust just for some plinking loads. What I got out of it was rather shocking. A load that grouped better than my actual handload. My actual pet handload will still group in the low ".2's", but I'm still a little confused as to why a random component load would shoot this good.
Load Data:
225 Hornady BTHP @ random depth
once fired LC machine gun brass
Misc. primers I had lying around (9 1/2m rems, winchester mag, others)
random charge of Varget (between min and max)
I was aiming at a staple on a torn corner from an old target.
I took it out to 300 yards and it was grouping under 3/4" in heavy mirage.
