I saw this on another website and thought it might be of interest to someone here. I know absolutely NOTHING about this make and model of rifle. I also don't know how good a deal this really is.

Re: Interesting German "sniper" rifle

Alderleet, thanks for that info! That $2,000 is a hell of a mark-up on a rifle. Then again, what people pay today for a pre-64 model 70 is stunning compared to what those same rifles originally cost.

Re: Interesting German "sniper" rifle

That price might not be all that bad. If you read the full site description of the price list that was given, you would realize that it is for a fantasy game and not reality.

From the fist page of the site-

"Q: The prices you list don't make any sense. How close to reality are they?

A: They bear no resemblance to reality whatsoever (except possibly by coincidence). They are more a reflection of the items' relative worth in game terms.

Q: Are you some kind of arms dealer?

A: Ha ha ha! No, the prices are for the game. I don’t sell anything from my site, period, and have no intention of doing so. And I have no idea whatsoever how to get virtually all of the items on my site. Did you really think I could have a B-2 Spirit bomber for sale?

Re: Interesting German "sniper" rifle

I just rebarreled one of those.
it was a wildcat based on a .223 case with a 6mm bullet,

its now a .243

and i'm in the middle of putting one in a HS precision thumbhole stock.

they fetch about 4-700 euro here, with or without optics,

interesting curiosity rifle, nothing to get excited about.
