Interesting, wonder if the guns were his dads?

In all honesty, one should not make terrorist threats as a means of expressing ones disagreement with government policy. I have no idea if he was serious or simply saying dumbshit in the hopes of impressing someone. If he was serious then I am glad that he did not have the opportunity to shoot anyone.

me too as far as threatening online. Just wondering if everything they confiscated was his or they just took everything in the house.

I wonder how long it will be until we hear a story like this where it was actually someone who hacked the social media account and posted those threats on behalf of the person who they got raided.

That is a real and legit concern. And kids nowadays are just not too sharp about protecting their online assets like passwords and account privacy, and security while on the Web in general. It is going to be Swatting 2.0... If there are sick fucks out there that will SWAT a Twitch.tv or YouTube streamer just because they got more views and followers than themselves, what other things will they not resort to in order to fulfill a twisted personal need for gratification?

About a decade ago there was a guy who had "issues" with his neighbor. The nicer neighbor had an unsecured wifi router and the angry neighbor deposited child porn on his c: drive. Then somebody (angry) dropped a dime. Nice guy was nearly arrested but a forensic computer detectives figured out what had happened. Angry was sentenced to several years in prison. - it does happen.

I be willing to bet his Dad is an incompetent parent.

Back when I was a teenager, any wrongdoing I might perform came back on my parents. They'd get a visit, and a talk about criminal and civil consequences.

Now, many of the Police refuse to confront parents. Moreover many of the Police are ordered not to do so.

There are many reasons why I should not be a Police officer; and this is one of the reasons why I wouldn't want to, either.

I'm speechless. Just the concept of "family" doing this to 'family' is incomprehensible and concerning. I know some individuals whom has devoted(?) their whole lives to their collection and the quality of both it and their training/abilities.

To have that all 'yanked' out from under,,,, for something that WASN'T your doing.... I don't want to imagine the outcome.

I seriously don't. For some parents, I'm guessing that kid is safer in jail. No matter how bad it is, or who they lock him up with, he's probably still safer. Wow.

OMG!!
He had camouflage clothing too.

And the gun safe is now a vault.

Yeah, the "vault".

Here are the contents:

"There were about 300 rounds of ammunition on a stairway, the FBI says, and thousands of rounds of ammo, camouflage clothing and a gun vault in another bedroom in the house. Agents eventually seized about 15 rifles and shotguns and 10 semiautomatic pistols."

Doesn't even fill one of the cheap cabinets from Dick's.

Dad must be pissed that his douchebag son got ALL of his fucking guns taken away.

Describes half the collections I know.

Thousands of rounds? Damn, dude must not be restocked from the 22 shortage.

Moral of that story? NEVER have an unprotected portal to your computer.

Thanks for sharing that.

The FBI didn't have a search warrant for the father's house.

During the initial interview the kid gave permission for the Fed's to search "his room", so as soon as they saw something firearms related they expanded the search to the rest of the house.

That fucking idiot kid probably took a few years off his poor father's life with the shit that he pulled off. The man needs to get his guns and ammo returned, in the same condition that they had been in when taken, with the minimum amount of fuss... A petition, or crowdfunding, or something, may be in order.

Looks like feds are using any excuse now to take guns from law abiding citizens. Looks like they think eventually we the people will forget about ruby ridge, Waco, ect.
