Does anyone on here know what the internal moa is on the older model Leupold VariX-III 6.5x20x50mm is? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks,CMH

I have a couple, but neither is handy at the moment. What I do know from experience is that it doesn't have enough internal adjustment to get a .308 to 1000 yards from a flat base, so I expect Rob's estimate is pretty close.
On a precision rifle, you'll want a 20 or 30 MOA base. I've used mine from both a 20 MOA base and an AI 28 MOA one-piece mount, and it works fine from those. Twenty will get a .308 to 1000 with plenty of margin.
