Hello as you'll see this is my first post here. Yes I am a dealer but I'm really here to expand my own product knowledge related to this world.

I started by ordering myself a Desert Tactical Covert model with the 308 conversion kit. I'll eventually get the 338LM kit as well.

What scopes would you suggest? I'm hoping to find one that is enough for the 338 but not too much for the 308.

I know the big question is going to be what kind of range am I planning for but that's kind of tough. I'm sure I'll keep it shorter at first but I do want to see how far I can go with it.

Right now I do get better pricing and terms on the more mainstream scopes (Leupold, Zeiss, Nikon, etc) so maybe it makes sense to start with one of those for now and get a higher end when I'm ready? That being said I never though I'd refer to Leupold as a starter scope

Thanks

considering the rifle and what you can do with it, i'd probably get into a 5.5-22 nightforce, that would be a scope that could do everything you need it to on that platform, and give you the most bang for your buck. considering what you spent on the gun and what that rifle can do, i wouldn't go cheap on the optics
