Rifle Scopes IOR MP8 - X1 Reticle

Re: IOR MP8 - X1 Reticle

What I noticed about the X1 version of the MP8 is that it doesn't have 1/2 mrad hash marks.

However, the MP8 Dot Mod reticle seems to be 1/2 mrad off when you get to the hash marks with numbers by them. Like the "5" or "10" hash mark. From the dot, which can be considered zero, it seems I count 4-1/2 hash marks to get to the "5".

Re: IOR MP8 - X1 Reticle

I just looked at the through the scope pictures on liberty optics. The X1 does indeed have the 1/2 mil marks, EXCEPT on the 1-10 eliminator. Don't know why the difference. If you look at the 3-18 FFP scope, you will see that they are there.

Not sure what you are asking about the standard MP8, yes, there are 1/2 mil marks and you get 4 1/2 then 5. The 5 is on the 5 mils line. The first short line from the dot is 1/2 mil, the longer line is 1 mil.

There is no down side to the new reticle, it depends on the model of scope you get.

Re: IOR MP8 - X1 Reticle

If I go to the Liberty Optics website, and look under the IOR product and 35mm Tactical line, The 1-8x scope reticle pictures don't have 1/2 mrad hash marks for the MP8-X1 reticle, and if I look at the pictures for the 3-18x model, I do see 1/2 mrad hash marks for the MP8-X1 reticle.

If I look on the IOR website, I don't see the 1/2 mrad hash marks for any picture I could find of the MP8-X1 reticle.

The MP8 Dot Mod reticle pictures that I could find look like they have 1/2 mrad hash marks, but the first line from the dot looks like a 1 mrad hash line that is spaced 1/2 mrad away from the dot.
