I recently acquired an IOR 6x42 hunting scope and my instruction manual says it should have 8.7mm movement per click at 100m. By my calculations 1MOA at 100m is 29.08mm; the closest whole number of clicks being 3 the travel is 29.08mm/3 or 9.69mm per click. If you use 4 clicks, 29.08/4 = 7.27mm per click. What gives? 8.7mm doesn't figure into any of my calculations of MOA.

I tried 100yds to see if they were using yds and meters interchangeably. 1MOA at 100yds is 26.58mm. Again, dividing up by 3 clicks I get 8.86mm/click or by 4 clicks I get 6.64mm/click.

Am I missing some piece of info on what they are using for adjustments in Romania?

Re: IOR scope adjustments

I believe those scopes are not set up in MOA , but in IPYH (inches per hundred yards). But that still does not figure correctly.

I would call Valdada in Colorado and see what they have to say.
