my iphone was originally set to where i updated and stuff from my desktop, then i got a macbook and somehow switched it to where i update with the laptop. when i switched it to the laptop, it erased everything (apps, songs etc) that i had added from the desktop. i want a bunch of this stuff back on my iphone and i cant put it back on through the desktop. when i plug it in, it will come up in the sidebar but i cant drag any playlists into it. anybody know how to set it up where i can add songs and stuff from both comps? thanks

Re: iphone help please

The Iphone Ipod Iwhatever can only be sync to one computer, just redownload all your apps, no you won't have to pay again as long as its the same account, get the music off your desktop harddrive and load it on to your laptops harddrive, create a new paylist, drag songs to that paly list, sync playlist to Iwhatever.

Technically you can have each component on an iphone synced to one computer. I have my music synced from my home machine but my applications, podcasts, notes etc synced with my work machine. If I try to sync music at work it wants to wipe out all my music and start over so I have to disable music syncing in itunes at work.

Re: iphone help please

use your i(whatever) as a hard drive and access it through the properties. You should be able to drag and drop at least music(I have an iPod) from your comp to your iPod. If you still have all the right music on one computer, resync with it, then use it as a HD to set up the other computer that way whenever you sync on either computer, you won't screw it up
