Does the elevated rail (23 moa) preclude rear BUIS usage?

Or if anyone knows the exact lift over stock, I may be able to use a gas block style front sight (slightly higher) on my front rail??

Have one ordered, but it's a couple weeks out.

Thanks.

Re: IRA 308 upper question--BUIS ???

the distance from the rear of the receiver to the front of the receiver is only like 50 thousands of an inch. it shouldn't make a difference, besides, most BUIS are only there for show and never get used, at least I haven't heard of anyone using them, maybe you get the occasional person who actually zeros them, but after that they are soon forgotten.

I'm one of the few who actually like to shoot irons once in a while at 2-600 yards and see what I can do.

So the front of the rail is actually at stock height?

If that is the case, the front sight should adjust 50 thou. up and still zero, no problem.

Thanks!
