Anyone done this competition? 4 person teams. Looks pretty cool, 48 hours and a good mix of physical and shooting... maybe weighted towards the physical side. We have a good team with my 3 gun squad but not sure if a cross-country trip to Oregon is warranted.

The best part was when the Barrett stovepiped. Other than that I got zero information about what was happening.

Here's a little more info, though quite dated. I think they used stage weapons at the time. I much prefer to bring my own, and that would have been a deal killer if I couldn't.

Friday, May 18th – Sunday, May 20th, 2012
The Oregon Tech Veterans Association along with the Klamath County Development Corporation hosted three teams for the second Iron Owl Challenge: University of Oregon, Oregon State, and the C-Troop from the local Oregon Army National Guard from Klamath Falls.

48 hour Physical/Mental challenge consisting of military-based events:

• Physical Fitness Tests "PFT" (per Marine Corps and Army standards)
• Swimming in pool with gear
• Military zodiac boats
• Land Navigation course
• Shooting range (Sportsman’s Park)
• Scholastic testing
• And much more!

1. Oregon Tech Campus (Klamath Falls, OR)
2. Ella Redkey Pool
3. Topsy Park area (Keno, OR)
4. Sportsman’s Park area (600 yard range)
