Well .260 rem. Build is ready to be put in motion. I have made all the major decisions except one. I'm still kicking around the barrel length. I am really wanting to go with 22" but nothing more than 24". I hear the .260 really shines through 26" of barrel. But I'm just not wanting that much barrel. I figure I should lose no more than 20fps per inch. So what's 40fps to get the 24" I'm after? Or is there more to this debocal that I'm not seeing?

I hear that you cannot gain anything after 26" And 24" is not much of a loss at all. I have a 28" built only for long range prone at the time but am having it cut down to I believe I will go 24". If you go shorter than that let me know how you like/dislike it for it will be a few months before I can get back to my rifle. I would really like to have a shorty but hear that the .260 isnt a good shorty caliber. I am interested in learning more of this caliber in differnt bbl length. Good luck
