Basically what the title says.. I have been told crimped primers can break the standard primer punch pins in reloading dies.. And a special primer punch tool is needed for crimped primers..

I just bought 1000 rounds of fed XM193 surplus rounds and was told they were sealed.. Will I be able to punch out the primers with my standard .223 dies or will I need a special stronger primer punching tool for these "sealed" primers??

you should be able to punch them out , you might brake a decapping pin. I have even punched holes threw the primer with my decapping pin not removing the primer but making a hole , damn huh ? crimped and sealed is different , seal uses some fluid/glue to keep out moisture ,Crimped keeps the primers from flying out of the pocket during expulsion , i think ?

No... not the same. I have reloaded THOUSANDS of mil cases (WCC and LC both with and w/o NATO cross) and have never had any issues knocking the primers out with normal pins.

i use alot of mil surp brass mainly lake city havent broken any decapping pins just make sure they are tight and not kicking off at an angle from being loose . i just got the dillion swage tool it is a must have if you use this type of brass i was using the rcbs setup and kicking my self for not getting the dillion sooner it is so much easier and saves a ton of time

Lee's "Universal Decap Die" has the tuffest pin of any. Well worth buying by everyone working with Mil. cases.
