At what point does a chassis become a stock or vise versa?
The new KRG Bravo looks good and they still call it a chassis not a stock. So what's the difference? I've generally considered a chassis to be all metal construction and somewhat "skeletonized".

Not criticizing, just asking.

Officially, a chassis is a strong framework that supports the rest of a stock, rifle, car, truck, etc.

Manners has been selling traditional style stocks with mini chassis for many years, as do many others now. All of the AI rifles have been chassis systems with skins, even before the AIAX came out.

In short, a chassis is a solid method of supporting the barreled action to improve performance and repeatability.

So, would you say the Bravo is a stock with a mini chassis?

No. It's a chassis. It's an aluminum backbone that all of the polymer pieces bolt to. It's basically a SAKO TRG chassis for Remington actions.

The Manners stock/mini-chassis is just a fiberglass stock with a V-Block in it. The rest of the stock is a single piece and there is no way to change the parts around.

+1

Having an aluminum bedding block does not make Bell & Carlson, Manners, and several other stocks into chassis. There has to be a degree of modularity/bolt-on customization derived from the metal backbone to which the exterior skin/human-machine interface bolts on to.

This exactly. It looks just like my TRG stock when disassembled.
