Hello. Old guy here getting back into shooting rifles. Currently running a SIG 716 and it is doing the job out to 500 yards. Might go farther but haven't shot past that yet. Took a 2 day course to try and get some rust off and got bit by the bug. Trying to decide between a Ruger PRS or something custom and debating caliber.

It can a hard choice!! For a really good entry level rifle the Ruger and with the 24 inch barrel on the 6.5 CM it will reach out to over 1000 yards out of the box. You just need to pair with an optic that can handle those ranges.
