Silencersmithing forum was a good resource for Form 1 builds and most active forum on the site. Never joined but liked reading. Site is still up but no posts since late March. Never was a high volume site but there was a steady trickle of posts.

Forums in general are dieing off in favor of social media. Forums don't utilize the algorithms and accessibility of social media platforms. Frank has done a good job trying to merge the two on this site with "like" buttons, alerts, etc. With that being said, if media like Facebook was gun friendly, forums would be all but dead. It's all about accessibility and delivery of information controlled by algorithms.

I liked lurking there as well. Decided to make the jump, and start building Form 1 stuff. I do not use FB/IG, so can offer no advice there. I do know SilencerStudent mods a couple of the F1 groups on FB.

Best resource I can offer, that I and others are quite active on, is form1suppressor.boards.net

Just like here, you've got to do your homework, and not grovel for the easy way out. You might also find some familiar names from SilencerTalk.

Thanks guys. Not looking to do another F1 but the tinkerer in me at least kept me looking at new posts from time to time.

I hope not. I’ve used them as a major resource on my builds and they’ve always been great on helping answering my questions. I don’t have social media just belong to a few forums. My families on social media and I got tired of seeing their crap so I deleted it all.

I read that as backwards. Sooner or later, Silicone Valley will purge social media of gun stuff. Stevie Wonder can see that coming.

So stop using shitty social media ? Partly why I migrated to the hide. All the resources in a nice convenient place.
It's not just social media, it's the ones controlling the servers, and access to the large servers is the real issue. The socialist media is just the user interface that is seen.

It seems silencer talk has been eerily quiet! 🤣 memtb

The site has literally just been removed due to TOS violation....
Wow.
Just went to log in, and got the same. WTF?

Their "25(a)" they referenced, seems to just state that they can take it down whenever they wish

Quite literally "because we said so" clause.
