Just curios, all the pictures I see have a thin 1/2" pad on the spacers. A few years ago I broke my collar bone and there is a ball of bone right where the butt stock rests. The McMillan I sold had the 1" pad and it didn't really bother me, just left a red mark after shooting. Now I am looking at getting a new stock and don't know if that thinner pad is going to cut it.
