I am looking to build my first custom 700. I would like to do a m24 build in 300 win mag but I am not looking for a clone, there are just some general features and looks I like about the rifle.

That being said, I am completely new to this and would like some advice on a barrel a fellow hide member has for sale. It is a Krieger and this is the description he has for me.

SS Krieger .308 5R barrel (.300 bore), 27.25" LONG, Heavy Contour, 1.2500" breech with slight taper. 1:10 TWIST. At 24" the muzzle diameter would be about .965". If you're building an M40A1 this contour will be close.

He does not have a contour style or number from Krieger as he is selling for a friend but would this seem pretty similar to their MTU barrel? I know its hard without pictures but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot guys.

I have looked at this before however I guess I do not know enough about barrels to recognize the contour on Krieger's website. Basically I am looking for some confirmation from someone who knows more about this stuff than me to let me know if this barrel is infact one of their #10 MTU barrels or if it close enough to it for me to use in a M24 barrel profile build. Like I said before it doesn't have to an exact clone I just would like to make sure it will work and be close. Thanks again and sorry if these seem like silly questions.
