I found this cleaning out a house. It appears to be a receiver/bolt/barrel for a Winchester 1897 shotgun. Is it worth anything? Im not much into Cowboy guns.

Whats the barrel length? Choke? hows the bore? Is it in operating condition? Check gunbroker.com for street value, looks like 300-500 can buy you the whole gun!Haha anyway I say hang it on a wall and call it "art". Or give it to me and I will. Seriously I will.

a quick glance at guns international shows them going for $500 -$550 in good shape. It would make a great restoration project for somebody.

The Cowboy action shooters are loco for 1897s. So much so they buy the knock off models made by some outfit in Italy. Uberti I think.
Anyway, check out some of the SASS boards and see what they say as I think you have "a find".
