Been getting multiple Welch's on different items I have posted. People would say they would take something, then a few days later no payment. You ask them about it and either something came up or still no response. Of course youll eventually end up with some crazy excuse that's hard to believe. Well after I told multiple people the item was sold. Personally my word is my bond whether I'm talking to someone on the Internet or not.

Do you leave negative feedback? Do you leave neutral feedback? No feedback and just don't deal with those people anymore? Anything stopping those people from leaving retaliatory feedback?

I personally value my feedback because I won't deal with people that have any negative comments. What do you think?

have you reported them...its in the rules. Have you used the "Report" button at the bottom of each post? We dont know if you dont report...

I did not know that. So direct message does not count? Which is two of the three.

And at the same time I'm not sure if I want to get someone banned that's not really me but I do think that it's not cool

Feedback is for a transaction. Because in such a case no transaction actually happened, I would say leaving negative feedback is not the answer. I suppose reporting might be better.

Feedback is feedback... The feedback system is their to assist people in making decisions on sales... If you have negative feedback, leave it. Id want to know if someone Im dealing with constantly backs out on deals. Remember, per the rules YOU have the right to refuse any sale for any reason.

It's funny how things change around the hide though. I was almost getting roasted a while back for asking some thing similar. Just about everyone suggested not to leave feedback since the seller and I had not conducted the transaction yet.

Nothing changed and there is no reason to start a thread to ask something thats in the rules.

Fair enough I just wanted to know how most people handle stuff. Maybe just warning them might suffice. I really don't want to be responsible for pushing people out of the community when we need all the help we can get.

I just went over the rules to be sure, and there is nothing in the rules about the transaction feedback. I did see how one should use the report button if someone is not following the rules.

I agree I would like to be made aware of any or every sketchy move someone did before I enter business with that user.

The reason why I mentioned that things change is because I was pretty much told not to leave negative feedback in my case back then. Now, the opposite is being suggested.

I feel I've been around for a while. I try to follow rules and I'm sure I've done a great job at it. Not trying to argue with you here. Just pointing out opposing suggestions are sometimes made.

OP, because there isn't much on transaction feedback specifically, in the rules, I will say that's up to user interpretation. However, it did mention to report user who are not following rules. The suggestion above is also really good.

Where did I say anything about Feedback being in the rules??? Your twisting my words. I said "have you reported them...its in the rules" You just confirmed what I said, Report someone for shady transactions or rules violations, that is right there in the rules.

Please tell me what staff member told you not to leave negative feedback? I know it wasnt me... and you are arguing, I just told you how to handle it. End of story

I once backed out of an i’ll take it because I jumped at something thinking it was a crazy deal, then realized it was something else.

I think you may have been the seller, either way I asked if it was ok to back out via DM, seller said yes only to then bash me in their thread after they agreed to let me back out of the deal I didn’t really want.

It’s kind of a good policy to want everyone to be satisfied at the end of the deal. Not to force people to buy things because of a post that can be edited or deleted, it’s not like you really loose something. It’s free to post ads here it’s not ebay or gunbroker.
