I had a few spare parts sitting around so I decided to build an extra lower. I had a RRA two stage NM trigger in my Stag Arms lower that I swapped for a single stage. The RRA worked perfect. Now I just installed it in a new DPMS lower and it won't work well at all. The safety works fine but I have to pull the trigger vary hard to get it to clear the disconnect. Since there are no adjustments Im thinking the trigger wholes in the lower are drilled off by just a little. First stage is fine but when it reaches the end of the second the hammer wont drop. I took it out 3x and its in right and the springs are fine as well. Guessing I need an adjustable trigger in this lower. Sucks

Re: Issue with a RRA trigger in a DPMS lower

Lot of other guys (a shiite load probably) have more experience with trigger parts, but I just recently put in a JP adjustable trigger that had clear instructions how to check and adjust the disconnector if it had what I believe is your problem. I gather it can happen from the slight tolerance stack ups in these parts. I had the problem and a couple kisses with a file fixed it. Instructions are in the garage, but I recall it is filing off a touch of the hammer hook.

They do caution to not get excited with the filing, or you could ruin the trigger. Best wait for more experienced hands to weigh in on this.

Its a drop in unit so you dont have to time the disconnect. Jp is different and you sometimes have to file the disconnect and the safety. This is different since the trigger just isnt functioning right at all.
