I got a new Noveske SPR upper the other week, and have been shopping around for glass for it. Well no one has IOR 2-12x32 in stock, and I am tired of waiting on IOR to fess them up. So this is where I need help. My price range is right at about $1300.00. This is for a 5.56 gas gun, max range is going to be about 600yds, only punching paper. I have been looking at USO's SN4 1.5-6 and I really like that one alot. I have also looked at NF 2.5-10x24 Really intrested in that one. I really dont want a huge scope on this rifle as i would like to keep it light as possible. Well I know the NF is almost mythical because they are not made for public consumption anymore, but I have heard of someone on here selling a few (KJO IIRC) IF I could find the NXS compact with a milldot, or the USO with their new-ish C2 reticle, which one do you think I would be served by better for the applications I have shared? I think I might be leaning closer to the USO.

I have not personally used that model USO, but my assumptions from experiences with other USO models is that it will be first class all the way in terms of the quality of the scope so I don't think you could possibly go wrong by going in that direction.

I have used the NF 2.5-10x24 in the exact configuration that Kevin sells them (mil dot ret., MOA turrets, ZS) and they are truly remarkable scopes for such a small package! I run one on an AR-10 carbine with one of TNVC's SAR rings and a Burris FF2 red dot for close work. It is a great combination.

Since you were/are wanting the IOR 2-12x32...you might be happier with the NF which gets you closer to the same magnification range of the IOR as opposed to the lower mag (6x) of the USO.

I went with a USO for mine, but the 1.8-10 which is much more suitable for the ranges this type of rifle is capable of IMO. You may find one without too many options for sale within your price range.
