The Japanese were running prison camps and performing human experiments just like the Nazis during WWII. About the only difference was the race of the people targeted.

This might have something to do with pilgrimage. Right now there are 2.7 million Muslims all gathered at Mina Makkah in Saudi Arabia for a worshipping journey in which "God is the greatest" is their man focus. Every Muslim has to go through this journey at least once in their lifetime, it's a requirement for being Muslim.
It's a 2/3 thing... Either it won't exist because there has been a crushing response to exstremism from both interior and exterior groups... Leading to a calming of retoric in the "religion"
