Its official, Pootin has attacked Ukraine.

Meh.....until we secure our own border from the invasion we are seeing ourselves...I'm not going to worry about the Ukraine. We have our own issues to deal with, and having a bumbling moron in office there isn't much he is going to do anyway.

Follow the money and ignore thr distraction. Covid has fallen apart for them and is failing bad....so they need something to "entertain" the low IQ groups.

While I dont disagree, Im not looking forward to the spike in prices. I bet Wally World is out of toilet paper already. Fortunately, I'm flush (pun intended).

Anyone check on their local gas prices in your area this morning? I heard the price for a barrel is at $105 this morning and I'm guessing it will top $125 sometime today. With Belarus joining Russia in their attack, this will destabilize the entire region. Not looking good. Way to go Joe!

The situation sucks. And I don't think being an isolationist is going to solve anything, dumb president or not...

Putins mad and the world will get sucked into this somehow. Anybody watch his "speach" the other day?

If I was Taiwan I would be really nervous, since there is no repercussions and joe gave Ukraine away when he pulled all US forces and personnel out, setting the stage for a clean handover. Any sanctions on China and Russia would be a self imposed sanctioning just like with Russia since we went from NET oil exporter to be a NET oil importer thanks to sleepy joe and we farmed our production out to china. https://www.forbes.com/sites/rrapie...plpof_sRv01f-Z6Bvo1nKRoLhbD0=&sh=3f3cdced18c3

Any sanctions imposed on Russia will be the equivalent of imposing sanctions on ourselves. Good job moving us from NET oil exporter to net oil importer sleepy joe:rolleyes::rolleyes:.
I hope liberals enjoy $5+ a gallon gasoline thanks to senile Joe's global warming bullshit. We need to be pumping petroleum out of the ground in record numbers. Fuck that bullshit global warming. I don't give a fuck about global warming, nor will the majority of Americans when they can't fill their tanks or heat their homes.

And I still don't know who to root for.
Cliff notes?
The media, pretty much all the corporate owned Republicans, and most Democrats demand that you root for Ukraine and condemn Russia. You have your marching orders. I of course, will do the opposite and not give two fucks what happens to Ukraine or Europe.

Anything that is the official US goverment narrative is a lie. The truth can be anything other than what is told to the people. The media and government (one in the same) is demonizing Russia therefore Russia is the good actor. Simple as that. This isn't cliffs notes but the rule to live by. Our government is the murderous state. China is the outside threat while the bigger threat is government and those that serve it here at home.
Truth. And don't forget, Russia is a largely conservative, white country with traditional values. Not western "liberal" values like transgender freaks pretending to be the opposite sex, woke idiots with pink hair, and white idiots that hate other white people. Pretty much the exact opposite of us. So you can guess who our media will support.

Gas is already at or close to $5/gal in many Liberal crime-ridden cesspools.

I laugh at people who think $5/gal gas is a big deal. I fly 300K miles every year and most places I go already have $7-10/gal gas. It’s no big deal. People adapt and life goes on. It ain’t that big a deal.

There are many more things to worry about than the price of gas (though gas prices may be an indicator of “those things”).

Most of those places people don't have to travel as far or very far (especially when talking about Europe). A lot of people that have to commute will see a much larger chunk of their pay go to fuel. I also see this as impacting our supply chain, trucking, shipping etc, all the way to production using oil products and farming. Will we live through it? We'll either sink or swim, but it is an unnecessary pain resultant of an incompetent and corrupt political party.

Makes me think of Hitler invading Poland, and Chamberlin meeting with Hitler to tell him to stop and coming back saying Hitler promises to stop. History rhymes?

"Chamberlain’s flight to Berchtesgaden was followed by another to Godesberg a week later and then another to Munich on 29 September. At Munich, Chamberlain got an international agreement that Hitler should have the Sudetenland in exchange for Germany making no further demands for land in Europe. Chamberlain said it was ‘Peace for our time’. Hitler said he had ‘No more territorial demands to make in Europe.’ On 1 October German troops occupied the Sudetenland: Hitler had got what he wanted without firing a shot.

Although people in Britain were relieved that war had been averted, many now wondered if appeasement was the best decision. They did not think it would stop Hitler, and simply delayed the war, rather than prevented it. Even while Chamberlain was signing the Munich Agreement, he was agreeing a huge increase in spending to increase Britain’s armament in preparation for war. He must have known from the situation outlined to him by General Ismay, that Czechoslovakia was lost, that war was bound to come.

Six months later, in March 1939, German troops took over the rest of Czechoslovakia. Poland seemed to be the next most likely victim of Nazi aggression and Chamberlain made an agreement with the Poles to defend them in Germany invaded. Hitler did not think Britain would go to war over Poland, having failed to do so over Czechoslovakia. He sent his soldiers into Poland in September 1939. Two days later, Britain declared war on Germany.

Chamberlain struggled on as Prime Minister until May 1940 when he resigned and Winston Churchill, a bitter critic of appeasement, took over. Chamberlain died in November 1940; however he continued to be vilified for appeasement in general and for his actions in September 1938 in particular long after his death and the conclusion of the war." https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/education/resources/chamberlain-and-hitler/

Looks like NATO is reinforcing the nations bordering Ukraine.

Ukraine is heavily forested with cover right to the roads and flat with many days with low ceilings. The population is anti-Russian. Ideal in many ways for guerilla operations. A dispersal of the manpads and shoulder launched anti-armor will create lots of headaches for the Russians.

Get ready for $5.00 a gallon gas, folks.
A third grader could solve that problem. Open up Keystone XL, end fossil fuel restrictions. You want new renewable energy too ? Get a refund on the 500M Obama wasted on one solar company run by his friends when he was "officially" in charge, and take some your "woke" support money and put it into energy. Easy Peasy.

Makes me think of Hitler

Putin and the Russian Army aren't in the same universe as Hitler and the German Army.

Honestly, as soon as someone starts shooting back in a serious manner Putin's offensive will grind to a halt. I have no idea if the majority of Ukrainians view Putin as better/worse than their current dipshit leaders though.

You mean that the rioters Obama helped to overthrow the Government of Ukraine are not doing a great job?

This isn't WW2 they aren't carpet bombing entire cities with fighter escorts. Doesn't look like the entire Russian Army is invading either. I think we will see a lot of ground fighting until one side cries uncle.

Rockets will do the same as any bomb that is needed to cripple Ukraine. No need for infantry at this time. Take out all critical infrastructure and military installations and Ukraine will not have the ability to fight back. Then 1 multi-rocket attack on Kiev and the war is over. NATO is trying to protect Ukraine's borders, but they won't see any action until the war is mostly over.
