I "think" this is the accurate movie title that is currently being made. I just heard about the film on the news last night. It's based on the life of a Polish colonel who gave Warsaw Pact secrets to the CIA and eventually had to flee Poland. The information that he passed, specifically war plans, gave President Reagan an edge when he began having talks with President Gorbachev. That saved us from WWIII.
I was a "cold war" participant in USAREUR in the FRG from '82 - '84. Between the story of this man's life and the fairly recent Soviet Warscare 1983, shown on the Military channel, it looks like we were all very fortunate to make it out of there without seeing a war.
