I'm seriously considering picking up one of these, I've read about all I can. Its a stock with many of the modularity advantages of a chassis all in one. I love my manners stocks but I'd like to try something different. I picked up a RRS tripod setup having a built in rail, plus RRS makes a mount specific for the JAE, just looks like a solid set up. Of course I've never seen one in person so I'd appreciate anyone that has to chime in and tell me if it's the real deal or not. Thanks

Absolute work of art. You have to see one in person to realize the attention to detail. There is no doubt the guys making these are trying way too hard to make each little part perfect.

Aside from being incredibly comfortable, modular, and fit finish, craftsmanship are secondary to none... Lisa Jones (owner with her husband John Allen) will answer any questions you have. If she doesn't have the answer immediately about something she will follow-up with you. She wants to make sure you are comfortable making the purchase before you spend a boat load of money on a chassis/stock. It is absolutely the real deal and their customer service is incredible...

I have the long action version and have been using it for the past 5-6 years now. Its solid, heavy, and beautifully crafted. Its also quite comfortable. I do wish that there was a way to adjust the butt for elevation and cant, but that would add even more weight to it. I also wish they designed a forward rail to mount CNVD's. I do love it. But your going to have to ask yourself if the money is worth it for you and your application. These days theres chassis everywhere that have more adjustabilty/adaptability for less dollars. If you love a traditional style with a modern twist, then this is thee stock.

I've owned several of these for both LA and SA and have been very fortunate to compare them to many other setups to include XLR, KRG, AI chassis, AI rifle, Manners, and McMillan to name a few and for me the JAE has been the better fit. They have really taken into account ergonomics and aesthetics. Also to add to a previous post, Lisa is always around to answer questions and if she cannot, there is a JAE FB page that is littered with people that run these chassis in many different disciplines that would be a great resource for you.

Thanks for the replys, just got done selling a rifle I hadn't used in years. Made enough money to get a stock and all the parts I need for a new build. Guess I'll pick up another surgeon action also and get it going!
