I was recently in a local gunsmith's shop and there were 2 Jard employees there with some of their actions to look at. There was one on a built rifle and one bare action/bolt with a trigger installed on it.

I had only ever heard of Jard triggers. I never knew that they made an action and I was impressed by the feel and the features.
Here is the feature list they told me about on the short actions I looked at:
3 lug/60 degree bolt throw. The bolt lift was not heavy, but it had a long bolt handle so that can make it deceiving.
Coned bolt face/chamber face for reliable feeding. I have always wondered why this was not popular in the "tactical" world.
Inlet for AICS (possibly others). They said the inlet was slightly longer than a Rem 700 so there isn't an issue with long seated bullets.
Action fits Rem 700 stock inlets.
Bolt head is interchangeable. The bolt can be disassembled with no tool like a Bighorn TL3, but not near as simple or effortless. The bolt body is very large in diameter and it can go from .223 bolt face to .338 lapua magnum.
There are lots of options if you order one.
Price was relatively cheap on the low end. $775 with no add ons and I am not sure what all that price includes.
I was very surprised to not have ever heard of them on here.
Has anyone had experience with these actions?
I would love to hear some honest reviews. Is there a reason that this action is not more popular?
