Jefferson City, MO Struck by Tornado

I’ve a cousin who lives just south of Jeff City with his Mrs and 5 kids.
Will be in contact shortly to see how they are.

They are darn good Constitutionalist Americans. Tad loony, but aint we all?

Figure they are prepared for a little chaos.

ETA: Just heard back. Twister missed their place by 1/8 mile.
He works for the power company, so he has a lot of long days coming up.

Grew up in St. Louis and big storms are just a fact of life. But you never get used to this sort of stuff.

True. I grew up in Joplin. It's crazy how many tornadoes and big storms go through every summer. It's just a feature of that region. In that four state area, there are daily tornadoes through the summer. It's just that most of them are away from towns so we don't hear about them.

My wife has a huge plant there, and this morning her phone was ringing off the hook, but we know nothing as of yet.

It's amazing that as of yet there are no fatalities. The danger of a late night tornado like that is that people are asleep and don't hit the basement. We were down in the basement the night before and the sirens were going off just west of us.
