Gunsmithing Jewell Trigger Rem 700

I installed a Jewell Trigger in my Rem 700 308 today.

When I cycle the bolt the firing pin Moves forward/fires.

What could I be doing wrong?

You probably have one of the adjustment screws too far out. Try to tighten them. Once you have found the spot that no longer makes the firing pin drop, put some fingernail polish on it to lock it into place.

Well, my adobe doesn't want to convert the file I have to a pdf, but here's a link that has the instructions for adjusting Jewells.

If yours won't cock, unscrew the furthest forward set screw 3/4 turn and check again. Repeat until the rifle cocks then continue with the adjustment procedure as outlined on the linked page.

It appears my receiver is binding up the Jewell trigger when I install the pins.

Has anyone run accross this problem?
