have been contemplating the purchase for a while, its my first AI. Went with the combo from Mile High... damn good deal. but the most I've ever paid for a gun, so far.

the rub is I have been wanting a 260 Rem for over a year so this AX is chambered in 260. One really nice thing about that is, in times like these with ammo "shortages" all over the place, i can still get several cases of factory 260 Rem FGMM from my favorite supplier, and its close in price to my flavor of 308.

also, its my first long range rifle chambered in something with less recoil than the 308. i kinda feel like its cheating but then i know i can just go back to 308 with a barrel change. only hard question is, do i sell some of my 308 rifles off?

Which 308 rifles are you thinking of selling?

possibly my FN SPR with CDI bottom metal and mcmillan A3 and douglas air gauged barrel i built back around 2010.

i really like my little Surgeon setup with Bartlien barrel at 16.5" and Eotech Vudu as a good little hunting rifle, so i dont think im going to part with that one.

The SAC build may or may not need a new home. We'll see.

Took the AX shooting yesterday. My initial thoughts are the trigger is different, but not bad at all. Takes some getting used to coming from Triggertech straight blade.

Two: I need a cheek pad for it. I was sweating a bunch and it was tough on the slick surface. Probably hoptic

Three: struggled with the bt-10 bipod in the loose-ish dirt. But I've waffled between the TBAC and the Atlas 5H. I definitely need an upgrade soon or before the next outing
