Okay, as many have seen, I have been reviewing the JP Rifles LRP-07 in 6.5CM.

Posted a few videos, mainly mixed in with other stuff. Originally I shot the JP Challenge at 1125 yards and the results kicked ass.

Today, I did it twice for the final video review, and I did it at 800 yards, to shrink up the TOF, at 1125 yards you have a 1.6-second TOF per shot, at 800 yards it's under that, clocking in at just 1 second.

So two quick videos while I ingest my footage and get ready to edit it tomorrow

    First, me shooting it

Then, the hits on steel at 800 yards,

    <iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fsnipershidellc%2Fvideos%2F10156008903432953%2F&show_text=0&width=560" width="560" height="314" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowTransparency="true" allowFullScreen="true"></iframe>

Full review will be up tomorrow, but fuck this rifle is sick as hell

I've had one for a while now and love it. Glad to see Frank is doing a review. The video really illustrates how little recoil these rifles have. Smoothest operating AR I've ever shot.

Hi great review Frank as always, which other two semi-auto riles make top 3 in your book?

Because the difference in MV between 24"-22" so minimal it is irrelevant.

wow very interesting including the table. i thought the rule of thumb was a gain of 25-50fps per add'l inch. and the table shows fps decreasing (not just a slower gain) above 24". would appreciate hearing the theory behind this, not that i'd understand it.

Thanks for the video, Frank. I've owned my LRP for about 3 years now and have been very vocal about not only how accurate it is, but how smooth the actions is and how much recoil is diminished with the LMOS and AGB. It show so well that I ended up buying a JP-15 with an 18" barrel, which also performs as I expected.

    JP makes outstanding rifles.

Got one (different color) like the review rifle a little while back. First AR platform I've had that is truly sub 1/2 moa with a few different factory loads. Mine does about the same as that one with the Prime. FGMM 130's went into basically one hole at 100 meters. Somewhat verified by a single attempt at 600 yds with a 1.8" group - others around 3". 48 rounds through it so far and I'm extremely pleased - almost afraid to keep shooting it. Absolutely the softest shooting 6.5 I've tried- you can fairly easily watch impacts. I've seriously considered selling a bunch of my rifles and replacing everything with JP.

Davsco...here you go, there is some good data in this article.

After watching LL's video this weekend, I went to the reloading bench last night and threw together some ammo to shoot out of my LRP (.260). After dry firing the shit out of the rifle (had been shooting my 10oz single stage Bix N' Andy on one of my bolt rifles prior to this), I ended up shooting rather well. I also admit, that I am normally not the best guy to be shooting groups, but today was a good range day. I got two, 5rd groups under .25 MOA (.20 and .23), two 5rd groups that were under half MOA and two that were between half and .75. One of those groups was shot by my older brother who is not a precision rifleman, though he is familiar with firearms and is no slouch around a rifle.

All of those were shot with a rather "boring" load of 139gr Scenars, seated to mag length (2.82"), +.002" neck tension, under 41.7gr H4350, inside Win. .243 brass (turned necks) and FGMM primers.

This rifle has produced a number of five shot, sub-quarter minute groups. It is just ridiculous what JP's rifles can do.

What's even more interesting, is after I hung my Magneto off the end of the rifle. Those really good groups went TU. I have had my groups impacted on other rifles after strapping on the Magneto, but the openings in these groups were rather significant. I believe JP lubes their BCG's with unicorn shit and I am starting to think the Magnetospeed makes this magic go away.

awesome, i have been drooling over his rifles for years, watching you shoot that rifle, frank, has sold me... that thing did not move a drop...you spit those babies out fast and all hits at 1100...fucking awesome...
