I would like to get your opinions on my next Dual Cal project.

Im buying a JP PSC-12 in standard configuration chambered in 338 Federal (AKA HOG KILLER!!)

Then Im sending off the lower to Jeff Hayes with the following parts

(1)
JP Rifles / With the new JP High Pressure EnhancedBolt

(2)
https://www.precisionreflex.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=186616&CAT=4823

(3)

(4)
AR-STYLE .308 GOLD TRIGGER MODULE | Brownells

(5)
Sentry 9 Clamp On Premium Adjustable Gas Block

Jeff will then fit it a 22" 1-8.5 twist Bartlein barrel chambered in 6.5 CM, MTU Contour, Fluted, 3/4 threads with RDP MRAD muzzle brake.

I love my PSC-12 in 338 Fed. It's probably my favorite set up. I chose differently than you did regarding the handguard and trigger, but that is probably personal preference. I chose the Fortis Switch (14.75" length) and the Geissele HSNM-MR trigger. I bought an AR-Gold to compare and just couldn't get used to the super thin trigger bow and the difference in how the breaks felt. Great selection either way though. Here's mine...

That's a nice setup, but for the 338 Federal upper im going to keep it in the standard JP configuration,
the parts that I listed will be for the custom 6.5 CM that Im having Jeff build the the JP upper/lower

also have you used that rifle for hunting?? i wanted a cartridge with some ass behind it to get the job done on large game.

Yep, I built it specifically for a compact hunting rig that shoots nicely suppressed with high energy levels out to 500. I use it for bear and elk. I cut it down to 16" and am seeing fantastic accuracy out to 500 yds with 185 GMX, 200gr Accubonds, and the 210 gr TSX and Swift Scirocco's with a .500+ BC. It's only dropping 5 mils at 650 yds and still has over 1200 ft/lbs of energy. Very nice, efficient S/A hunting rig. I get 131 DBs through it using my Titan-QD. It's legit...
