Just curious if anyone will share data. Berger 140 hybrids- 6.5Cm- alpha brass.

eld’s run well for me at 41.3 charge h4350. 65k jump.

curious if anyone has found a good jump node or ballpark for the Berger’s to start and save me time and consumables ? Thx!

One of the best things about the hybrids is that they are not jump sensitive at all. You can jam them or jump and they just shoot!

In my 6.5cm I’m jumping 140 hybrids .100 and seeing groups in the .3-.5 range. The factory Berger ammo loaded with the 140s shoots in the .5-.8 range and those are jumping ~.150 in my rifle.

My rifle is throated kind of long, so I don’t have much more room to work with before running into mag length restrictions. If I were to seat at the lands my COAL would be around 2.950, and the base of the bullet would be about half way up the neck.

All this to say, definitely don’t be afraid to jump the hybrids, they do it quite well.

My 130 Berger hybrids are jumping .060” at mag length, and print 3” groups at 800yds. I love how jump friendly the Berger hybrids are. I don’t ever have to worry about chasing lands for the life of the barrel. Just work up a load and go wear the barrel out. That’s as easy as it gets.

I ran ladder test today with them. Twice.

confirmed 2 nodes at 700yards. .025 jump - 1” vertical spread - 1.7SD. 5 ES

just kept them at the 25k jump. Going to dig deeper as that’s about mag length for me . Butglad I decided to givethe Berger’s a try. Ran thousands of the eld-m’s. Never got them to print like this at distance.

thanks for the info. At my 25k jump COAL is 2.942. Which is damn near mag length in my AI. Was curious what factory Berger ammo would measure as they have people much smarter than me approving and engineering. Your response about about yours having .150 with factory kinda give me a work through on math. my chamber measures 2.285 to lands. So I’ll seat some and go see how they like it!!! Thanks again for your response!!!

I don’t know if I would use the factory ammo oal as a guideline, they are just trying to make sure the ammo will fit in everyone’s magazines (COAL of ~2.805). If I was getting 1” vertical at 700, with those ES & SD numbers, I’d be more than tempted to just leave it alone and run it!

I have all data logged. Can always go back. The 25k jump has me at mag length. Maybe .001-.002 from touching in mag. Had few mag/feed issues during tests. Only
Reason for not just leaving it as is.
The rig I am testing with will
Be used prs matches. Don’t want issues while

Charge and .100 jump this evening to see. I know large change from .025 straight to .100, but seems like lots of info shows .075-.125 is rather common. I’ll reply here after I get results.

Won’t get to check at distance till sat/sun. Ran 10 over magnetto (alpha brass-br2-41.2 h4350 - 2805 FPS) at the .100 jump today. Sd came up to 3.2, but stayed in same hole at 100yds. Hoping they stack tight at distance.
