Hey fellas, I hope you can help me out on this. I just won a DPMS LRT-SASS at the AAC Silencer Shoot and I'm wondering what I should put on it in the way of glass and what kind of accuracy I can expect from it. I appreciate any help you can give

A Nightforce 2.5-10x32 would be a nice optic on that rifle. knobs and reticle of your choosing and have some fun.

I agree, something in the 3.5 x 15 range would be adequate for the intended uses of that rifle...
I have read, without any actual trigger time myself, that the DPMS can shoot 1 MOA and maybe even a little better in good/great conditions...

I have an IOR 4.5x14x50 with MP8 reticle on my DPMS 260, it works great and has 10 mils of hold with 100 yrd zero + lot smaller and weighs less than my Nightforce.

Nice rifle! Expect 1MOA or better. I had a 3.5-15x50 NXS on mine and was happy.

It'll be a bit before I can afford it as I'm a poor college student, and this is my first .308 so I'll be doing good to stock up on the good ammo. Does this rifle have any chance at 1000+ yds with the right glass?

Hell yeah you can shoot 1000 with it. If it doesnt shoot sub MOA call DPMS and raise hell. I have yet to see one that doesnt. I have one and it shoots sub 1/2 MOA easy all day long. Around 1 inch at 350 yards sometimes much better. Put good glass on it and get a better grip. If you like the one thats on it, you'll love the Ergo like that one. Its solid not hollow and plastic. Nice gun!

i started out w/ a uso 1.8-10 and it was solid on my pof 308 but ended up moving that to my 6.8 and going w my premier 3-15 on it and its got some more weight now but i like it better sitting in my larue mount so it throws it way out front and kinda balance the rifle a bit better imo. congrats they are a blast to shoot

That's one hell of a nice prize. I only wish it was closer to me, I would have love to have gone. You should be able to take it out to 1k, I've yet to get mine there yet, but I've seen others do it.

I have a DPMS LR-308 with the 18 Fluted Bull Barrel and I am getting 0.222 at 130 meters with three shots, 0.421 with five shots. I am shooting 168 A-Max 2.828 OAL(Longest I could get to fit the mag) with Black Hills Match Brass, 44 grains HG 4895, BR2 Primer. What A WIN MAN!!! Great guns!
